Penguin Computing has officially become the second vendor organization to join DFW-HPCUG. Welcome to Don Schulte, Don Becker and the whole Penguin Computing team.

Terascala has officially been the named the first member organization of the DFW-HPCUG. Thanks to Rick Friedman for taking the initiative and joining our group.

For those who don't know, Terascala produces Lustre-based [object-based clustered file system] storage appliances.

Welcome to the newly minted Dallas Fort Worth High Performance Computing Users Group. This is our first attempt at connecting the constituent users/organizations/etc in the high performance/technical computing industry.

A bit of History
Over the years, several of us had continually kept fairly close contact between one another. We would occasionally meet for lunch or coffee. Handshakes and hellos were usually exchanged at Supercomputing every year. Nothing formal.
